The "Grand Crus" of the Pfalz

About ten years ago, the German VDP (an association of Germanys leading wine producers) developed a new kind of quality designation called “Grosses Gewächs”.

Grosses Gewächs (literally = “Grand Cru”) stands for dry style top quality terroir wines, which originate from the finest vineyards in Germany. With a maximum yield of 50 hl/ha, handpicked and selected grapes and aging prior to first release, these complex and elegant wines can compete with the very best white wines of the world!        

In this tasting you will have the opportunity  to compare eight of these "Grand Crus"  from he very best vineyards of the Pfalz!
